6 Months

Today is Cooper's "half-birthday" -- can you believe it? Lately, the little guy is all about teething, eating solids and sitting on his own. He has his two bottom front teeth and the top two front teeth are coming. He sits on his own and likes to be plopped down on a blanket with toys strewn in front of him so that he can pick and choose which ones he wants to chew on and which ones he prefers to throw across the room. Good arm -- maybe we'll make a pitcher out of him yet! Now that the softball season is in full swing, he comes with us to the games and likes everything except when we cheer. It scares him! Poor kid ended up in tears during a really exciting sixth inning last week. He'll have to outgrow that if he's destined to follow the career path CJ has chosen for him.

He is starting to crawl more, but its more like spinning in a circle on his tummy. He'll get there soon enough and then it will be baby proofing time. He is now swallowing his food, instead of just spitting it back out when we feed him. He doesn't enjoy his high chair much, probably because he can't move around, but he's getting better about it. His favorite foods at the moment are pears and bananas and squash or sweet potatoes mixed with rice cereal. (I say favorites because these are the ones he spits out least.)

Over
Memorial Day weekend, Cooper met Ben, the son of CJ's coworker Katie and her husband Paul. Ben and Cooper were born one week apart --hard to imagine based on the photos. Ha! Cooper also visited his Grammie and Pepe A.'s puppy Sophie earlier this month, who is also just one week younger than him.

As for us, we've been busy doing renovations around the house. We are slowly re-doing the upstairs bathroom (no more 1950's pink tile) and have been painting the exterior and fixing up the front yard. We added some
landscaping this past weekend. We have a few more things left to do outside -- painting window trim and porch posts, painting steps and landing, installing new lights, rehanging house numbers and mailbox and ordering shutters. We will be happy when its finished. And then I'm sure we'll find another project to work on! :)

There are lots of babies getting ready to come into the world in the next few months. We're so excited for our friends and family! Welcome Anthony, Hadyn and Caitlin -- the newest additions.

Hope everyone is well! Enjoy the six month
photos.

Look at the Sophie album link -- there's one where you can slightly see them. He screws his mouth up tight whenever I try to look at them or get a photo. He knows!!!
