Brother & Sister

In April, Cooper turned 16 months old just two days after his baby sister Caroline was born. We are really enjoying watching Coop grow and interact with his sibling. Being a family of four is awesome! We feel very, very blessed.

Things have been pretty hectic for us since bringing home the new addition. Just to add to our madness, we decided to put our house on the market the week after we brought Caroline home from the hospital. We are hoping to sell and find a bigger home before the end of summer. Wish us luck! So far, we've shown our home about a dozen times in the past two weeks, with many positive comments from potential home buyers. We've also seen a bunch of homes in the two school districts we're hoping to move into to, and there are some potential homes for us in the mix. Looking forward to more coming on the market as the school year comes to a close. So, we'll just have to see what happens!

Caroline is a wonderful, easy baby. Just like her big brother! She is up to around 8 pounds and did wonderfully at her 1- and 2-week check-ups. So good that she doesn't have to go back to the pediatrician until her 2-month check-up. She eats and sleeps very well. Thanks to her clockwork schedule, Mommy is getting 3-4 hour intervals of sleep at night, which is really great. We've pretty much mastered sleep deprivation since bringing Cooper home from the hospital and through the past 16 months anyway! We both feel so much more relaxed this time around, probably because we already knew what to expect. So far, so good!

Coop just loves his baby sister. He calls her baby, which at first sounded a lot like "ba-ba" and lately sounds like he's saying the name "Bobby" - which I find so adorable. His sister Bobby! Ha ha. He likes to help us feed her and dislikes when she cries. In fact, I put Coop to bed last night and about 10 minutes later, Caroline let out a cry and we suddenly heard Coop on the monitor crying and frantically saying "Baby, baby?" He settled back down once we went upstairs and showed his sister to him. That just melts my heart!

We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our cousin Amy and Jamie's baby girl, who is due any day now. Come on "Mint!" :) We can't wait to meet her and introduce her to Caroline!

Cooper has his last "solo" photo album for 16 months and from this point on, we'll have one monthly photo set of both of the kids. Enjoy the April 2010 photos! Hope everyone is well.
